Another thing that looked better from high up!

Back in January 2002 three people came together to create a new advertising medium - Ad-Air - and what followed was a roller coaster of investment funding drives, research and hard nosed negotiating to secure sites for enormous advertisements. Sites that were big enough to be seen from aircraft operating at some of the worlds busiest airports. Those three entrepreneurs were Paul Jenkins, Matt Devlin and yours truly, Haakon Dewing.

 

In October 2007 (yes it took a while) with the help of some great people the company launched its first advert at Dubai International Airport - for a Middle East property company called Sorouh - and together we created a new Guinness World Record for Advertisement Banner size - the advert was a colossal 20,000 sq metres! Unfortunately the company was unable to capitalise on its successful launch site; and with the downturn in the global economy and the resulting loss in both investor confidence and available budgets amongst the buyers it was with great regret that we had to put it into administration.

 

I have created this page as a reminder of what we achieved and to thank those people that believed in us.
